We have been trying to conceive for 7 months and I am so happy to say that we are finally expecting our baby!
I had the Mirena IUD for almost 5 years and had it removed in August of 17'. Each month we would use OPK's and BD at all the appropriate times but nothing was happening. We were also using preseed except the month we conceived! I was charting using Ovia and with this I realized that my LP is only 11 days which is on the shorter end of normal. I was feeling a lot of anxiety about it and was worrying that there was something else wrong. In Dec I met with my OB for a yearly physical and she said to let her know if a few months if nothing happened yet and she would start with some blood tests. She wasn't too concerned with my LP length. My husband was starting to take steps as well to make sure it wasn't something on his end. In Feb he met with a dr that specializes in male reproduction and had blood work and a SA. Everything came back good! This was a huge relief. His Dr recommended Fertilaid for both of us so we started taking this as well. About a week later we met again with my OB to discuss further testing for me. She ran a bunch of blood work and wanted to get me scheduled for an HSG and Follicle US. All my blood work came back great! I felt like all of stress was melting away! The day I scheduled my HSG is when I found out I was pregnant! I was 9DPO, no unusual symptoms other than some spotting which was implantation bleeding. I am now 4 weeks 2 days and praying that this is a sticky little bean! I've been having seriel HCG's drawn and my #'s have been increasing nicely!
I know it can be discouraging and how much anxiety can go with this process. I really think that by getting ourselves tested early on helped ease my anxiety about it all and helped us to conceive.
