Hi everyone,
I've been checking this site through every two week wait for the last year or so while I've been trying to conceive.
Just got my BFP at 18DPO(was too nervous to test before that time) and hoping this will give some solace to those who aren't experiencing any symptoms during your TWW. My only significant symptom was missing my period.
5DPO: throbbing back pain that I always get one week before my period, figured my period was on its way
9-13DPO: continued intermittent back pain, very characteristic of my typical PMS symptoms
14DPO: expecting my period, wiped in the morning and saw a few drops of bright red blood-srsly, like maybe 3 drops. I put a tampon in thinking it was my period, but it was complete clean when I removed it a few hours later. No bleeding since that time
15DPO-now(4w3d): I feel completely normal. No sore boobs, no cramping, no nausea, no food/smell aversion. But the tests come back more and more positive each day, so I know this is real.
I was in tears every time I got my period for the last several months and as I approached a year I felt like the odds of ever being a mother were slipping away-I was heartbroken.
I had just read a study that the majority of women who don't conceive after one year, will conceive naturally if they keep trying(not that you shouldn't see a doctor but this was interesting and has certainly rung true for me).
I think what helped me was really a mixture of tincture of time, luck and stress management(went on a few great vacations, exercised regularly and ate well).
Best, best of luck to all in this community and please take good of of yourselves-the odds of a bfp are definitely in your favor, no matter how discouraged you feel sometimes.
