Hi Ladies,
My purpose of writing this isn't to brag. I feel like everything in my life I can control and be successful in except for my TTC journey. God has humbled me, taught me patience and how to fully trust him in him through the process of TTC. I learned that it's okay to be vulnerable and it's okay to cry or feel like I'm a defect. The purpose of me writing this is to help other women get through this crazy TWW and TTC journey. I read through so many stories and it kept me sane so I really hope that my story will help you too.
***Please listen to the song "Who You Are" by Jessie J. It helped me through my hard times and frustration.

My Crazy Cycles/LH Surges
In the 8 months that I was TTC, I only ovulated 5 times because one cycle was over 50 days long and I believe it was an Anovulatory cycle (where you don't ovulate but have break-through bleeding/spotting). In the other 6 months, only 1 month was 30 days long; the others were around 36 days long. I always get a ALMOST or even Positive OPK 7 days before the REAL Positive OPK. For ex: I'll get 1 positive OPK on CD 18, but it's only one, then the rest are negative. I test 5 am and 5 pm from CD 11-AF. Then on CD 25 I'll get the real deal. How do I know it's the real deal? Because my OPK stays positive for 36 hrs, not 12 hours, and my BBT chart in Fertility Friend confirms my ovulation. I normally ovulate 1 day after my first Positive OPK (the real one). So CD 25 (positive in am and pm), CD 26 (positive am and pm, I ovulate this day), CD 27 (positive am only, negative by pm). We would BD on these 3 days. Note: I know people say to test with 2nd morning urine, but that's not accurate for me. It sometimes turn positive even when I'm not ovulating yet. My advice is to play around with the OPKs and learn about your body. My CM is really hard to read so I can't go by that. I also sometimes get a blazing positive OPK right before AF arrives. My Luteal Phase is anywhere from 10 - 13 days long.
What I did differently in my BPF Cycle
Honestly not much because by this time I'm frustrated. I was taking Fertilaid and Fertil CM for 30 days. I quit coffee from CD 1 to CD 35, but because I believed I was not going to ovulate anyway I started drinking it again. I was supposed to ovulate around CD 28 but I was traveling. I think the stress of traveling, refinancing my house, preparing the house for appraisal, crazy busy at work and helping my in laws purchase a house really delayed my ovulation. I convinced myself to take my temperature and continue using OPKs. On CD 38 I got a blazing positive OPK. I noted that AF is finally going to show up! My LH stayed positive for 36 hours... but AF never arrived.
Wonfo, First Response, ClearBlue Digital, ClearBlue and $1 Cheapie Reviews (My very first BFP)
1 DPO - 5 DPO: Nothing
6 and 7 DPO: For the first time in my life I'm getting heartburn BEFORE eating or drinking anything in the morning. I told my friend maybe I'm getting too fat!
On 8 DPO I decided to take a Wonfo for fun in the am. There was a line but it looked like an indent, but the line was more definite than a regular indent. I didn't believe it so I took a First Response. FRER was stark white - Big fat negative.
On 9 DPO, I felt like my left ovary was swollen. That feeling like your heart is sticking out when it's racing. Hard to explain, so I took a Wonfo at 10 pm. Looks like a indent.... or a BFP! I decided to use a Wonfo to test urine again, and use the 3rd Wonfo to test water. The water Wonfo came out stark white while the 2 urine ones had "indent" lines. After 30 minutes of looking at them under several lights I decided that it's probably 75% a BFP. But I didn't let myself get excited yet.
On 10 DPO, I tested with Wonfo with first morning urine. I see another "indent" or.... BFP! I took out my blue dye ClearBlue Easy. Faint cross (positive). I tested with the $1 cheapie. Faint line again. Then I took out the Digital ClearBlue Advance that I stashed away. At 2 minutes; BAM, "Pregnant, 1-2)!!!!! Okay, I finally believe it. LOL. Please note that the last cycle I got a bad batch of Wonfos that gave me 7 false positives out of 25. I also got a false positive with FRER in that cycle as well. Symptoms: Light backache on left side. Ovary feels swollen/sore.
On 11 DPO, My Wonfo HPTs are coming out darker now! My OPKs are turning positive immediately! Just testing the theory that the OPK can turn positive in early pregnancy; turns out it's true! I was very tired right after lunch; felt like a zombie. The most obvious sign was the ache in my left ovary. Even if I didn't take a pregnancy test I would have known just from this that I was pregnant. It's not like AF cramps. First it feels swollen, I can envision my little ovary swollen just from that feeling. Then, for hours it felt like someone left a tiny twisted metal coil beside my ovary and it kept rubbing up against it. Other times it would feel like a poking and pulling feeling at my ovary. I hope I was able to explain that correctly. LOL.
Well, I'm thrilled and feel blessed beyond words. I'm going to give my husband a extra special present on Father's day (6 days from now) in front of my family. My little girl will be 4 next month and has been asking for a sibling since she was 2.5 years old so i'm just so excited to share the news with everyone. I hope this helps you all. Keep your head up and I know it's so hard to believe when you've been ttc for a long time, but maybe your BFP is just right around the corner!!!
Thanks for reading.
