I've been stalking these boards for months now and feel so lucky to have my own story to tell. The female body is truly amazing.
After our MC, we took a couple months off to enjoy a much needed vacation and recover from the emotional trauma that comes with loss. We picked back up again in June and my cycle just felt off - longer than normal and OPKs showed that ovulation was anywhere from 10-18 days into my cycle. I bought an Ava Bracelet and started using it in July. No luck that month but I felt empowered having another tool to help us TTC.
In August, DH and I went to Hawaii for a destination wedding and it just so happened to be during my fertile week (per Period Tracker/OPKs - Ava is still getting to know my cycle and had me ovulating a week later). When I realized my fertile week would line up with our trip, I decided to try SMEP as well. Can't hurt right? We packed the Pre-Seed, and plenty of OPKs and got down to business. The time change and wedding activities meant we messed up the schedule, but we still gave it our best shot:
CD 8-BD
CD 11 - BD
CD 14- BD + Positive OPK
CD 15 - BD + Positive OPK (pretty sure this was O day)
CD 16 - BD
1-7 DPO - no symptoms at all. And my temps were all over the place per Ava. I was still jet lagged though, so it was hard to be sure of anything.
8 DPO - generally fatigued, not because of a time difference.
9 DPO - just felt kind of off - was hot all night before, didn't sleep well even though I was out late the night before, so I took a Wondfo test when I woke up and it was POSITIVE! Confirmed with a Dollar Store cheapie and a FRER. Mind blown.
10 DPO - HCG/Progesterone tested with Midwife - HCG:22/Progesterone 17.8. Going back in tomorrow for another set of lab work.
11 DPO - BFP on Wondfo and Dollar Store tests again.
I know it's still early, and MC is still possible but I'm not going to deny myself the excitement and hope a BFP brings. Baby dust, luck and love to all of you.
