I'm 34 my DH is 40. I have one child to a previous relationship he is almost 15. DH has two children to a previous relationship 12 & 13.
We started ttc last year 2016 but after 8 failed months and 1MC we decided to take a break. We didn't BD at all for about 5 months. We concentrated on us and having fun, we both started to feel a bit happier again and after the DH 40th birthday I said we'd try again. Our first month trying after a break and we got our bfp.
I have a very regular and to a tee cycle. Every 28/29 days and it will last 4/5 days. My leutal phase is around 12days. I also use the ovia App.
Af arrived 13th May 2017 & finished 17th May 2017.
CD 9- we BD as I'd read with a regular cycle it's possible to ovulate on CD12. CM nothing seen nothing felt.
CD 11- we BD again just in case I ovulate early. CM nothing seen nothing felt.
CD 14- Text book ovulation!! Little sticky ewcm. We BD again. I also read today that u cannot go by text book ovulation. We are all different. U may ovulate on CD 9 one month and CD 18 the next month. Going to buy opks.
CD 15- clear liquidy ewcm. BD again. Opk low on lh surge but it's there.
CD 16- BD again just in case. Ewcm present still.
CD 17- OPK peak plenty of ewcm. No BD. Ovia gave me an extra fertile day window so we're going to use it. Thank you ovia.
CD 18- we BD again as taking full advantage of the extra window. EWCM and loads of it. I'm logging my ovulation day as CD 17/18. If it hadn't of been for opks we would have stopped before CD 16. Probably why were failing in 2016.
1-3 dpo flutters in tummy very strange. Creamy cm a little clumpy. Feeling tired.
4-8 dpo- Twinges in right uterus and very mild af cramps. A lot of creamy lotion like cm which is not like me I usually dry up within 2days of fertile window finishing. Very tired just want to sleep. Strange cos I'm an insomniac.
9 dpo- creamy lotion type cm. Af type cramping on n off. Twinges in right uterus. Was sorting washing , folding clothes and walking from room to room and suddenly a pang in right uterus. I had to stop and lay down. It lasted for 20 mins and I couldn't sit up till it passed. IMPLANTATION? I hope so.
10 dpo- Creamy lotion cm. Af style cramps on n off. Caved and took a PG test as pretty sure I felt IMPLANTATION yesterday. BFN I know I know far to early lol tut tut on my part hahaaa ;)
11dpo- creamy lotion cm. Af cramping but she is due today. Af cramps are more extreme but not constant like they usually are. I don't usually get AF cramping until day of af so this is consistent with my cycle. Af cramping at 4dpo and onwards is not normal for me. Secretly hoping she is going to stay away.
12 dpo- 1 day late for a 28day cycle but CD 29 today so AF cramps I'm feeling could be her gearing up :( I'm pretty convinced we are out. My back and tummy is feeling like I'm going to be in full AF soon. I if she coming I wish she would just hurry up so we can try next month. Going to get pre seed for next month.
12 DPO- still no Ad but feeling like she coming. I'm in for tattoo tomorrow so think best to take a test again. Tesco cheapie and I'm pretty sure I can see a faint line. Got my negative from other day to compare and can Defo see a faint line. Even the DH and DS can see it. DH gone to get clear blue. Brewed my wee for a few hour's. 4hrs to be exact and peed on clear blue. Can see a faint positive a lot clearer than Tesco cheapie but I'm still not convinced. Af feels like she going to arrive still any second.
13dpo- FIRST URINE OF DAY. Can't believe it. It's as clear as day and a very strong BFP. We are well chuffed. Went to drs today to confirm. They took a blood test but said clear blue very accurate they just wanted to check for hcg level. Get results tomorrow. Also had my first bout of sickness. Vomiting not nice yellow and bile sorry tmi also had a very high metallic taste in mouth. Yuk didn't like that lol.
14dpo- Today, still feeling very tired. Af cramping on n off. Feeling nausea and very Hungary. Saying that , it's been a bit of a sign hunger. I never eat breakfast or lunch but from 4dpo I been waking up with full blown hunger and could eat everything in sight lol. We are still very excited and hoping we have a very happy healthy 9months. We are very thankful for opks and ovia App. Without them we'd still be thinking ovulation on CD 14. I was quite amazed that ovulation can be so hit n miss each month. We also learned that it's possible to be very fertile during your menstrual cycle and that's why women will get an lh surge two days after period finished. I also had tension in my head every day since 1dpo and at 10 dpo I had niggling pain in shoulder like I slept funny. I've ended up with this again today at 14dpo. Our body is a wonderful mysterious place. Here's to a sticky bean. Baby dust to all :) x
